We are pleased to announce that we are running an open weekend for prospective new members. We look forward to welcoming locals from Matlock, Chesterfield and the surrounding area to come and experience Matlock GC. Whether you are new to the game. An experienced player. Or simply curious about what Matlock Golf Club has to offer. Our Open Weekend for prospective new Members is the perfect opportunity. Explore our facilities, meet the team and experience our welcoming atmosphere.

Join us on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September, with complimentary tee times available between 2.30pm and 3.30pm. Discover why Matlock Golf Club is one of Derbyshire’s most scenic and friendly clubs. Come join us on the day and see what we have to offer. We think you will be pleasantly surprised. 

Play a Round – Tee times available 2.30pm to 3.30pm

Prospective members are invited to enjoy a complimentary round of golf during our Open Weekend. We have set aside tee times between 2.30pm and 3.30pm for visitors looking to experience our well-maintained moorland course.

Whether you are looking to get a feel for the layout or just want to enjoy a relaxed game in beautiful surroundings, booking your slot is a great way to get started.

Throughout the Open Weekend, guests are invited to enjoy a buffet. This will be served in the clubhouse and is a chance to see what our regular members enjoy week in, week out..

Practice Facilities – Indoor Simulator Room and Driving Range

As part of the event, you will have the opportunity to try out our indoor simulator room, a great feature for practicing all year round.

You can also make use of the practice area and the driving range to warm up. Test your swing or simply enjoy the facilities as part of your visit.

Crown Green Bowls

Matlock Golf Club is not just about golf. We are proud to also offer crown green bowls on site. It is a great social sport and a relaxing alternative for members and guests who enjoy variety in their leisure time.

Whether you are trying it for the first time or have previous experience, the bowls green will be open to visitors during the Open Weekend.

Meet the Captain and Our Team

Throughout the weekend, guests will be able to meet the Club Captains’ and other key team members and delegates. You will also have the chance to speak with our Club Professional, who can provide expert advice, coaching tips or information on lessons and equipment.

It is the perfect opportunity to get to know the people who make Matlock Golf Club such a friendly and enjoyable place to be.
