  • What are your core etiquette guidelines?
    • Manage Noise Levels: Keep conversations to a minimum and avoid loud shouting or narrating your shots. If you want to listen to music, always use headphones.
    • No Unsolicited Advice: Avoid giving swing tips to strangers unless they explicitly ask for help.
    • Tidy Your Station: Please only take the balls you need from the bucket and avoid scattering them across the mat. Return empty baskets to the dispenser or designated collection point after use.
    • Mobile Phones: Please ensure your phone is switched to silent mode whilst using the range, so as not to disturb other users.
  • Range Safety
    • Safety Lines: Stay behind the marked safety lines at all times, especially when others are swinging. Never walk onto the range to retrieve a ball.
    • The Range-Picker & Mowers: Do not intentionally aim at the tractor/mower or person collecting balls; while protected, they are essential staff performing a necessary task.
    • Alcohol: For safety reasons no alcohol is allowed on the range
    • Avoid Cross-Range Shots: Do not aim at targets that require you to hit across other players’ bays. Aim at targets directly in front of your station.
  • What is the dress code?
    • Typical golfing clothing is encouraged.
    • Ensure you wear appropriate shoes for practising and accessing the range facilities.
  • Busy range protocol
    • Communicate with Waiters: If the range is full and someone is waiting, let them know how many balls you have left or if you plan to get another bucket.
    • Be Mindful of Time: During peak hours, try to finish your session in a reasonable timeframe (typically 45–60 minutes) to allow others a turn.
    • One Person Per Bay: Only one active hitter at a time to prevent overcrowding and accidents.
  • Practice Tips
    • Warm up: Before hitting balls, do a few stretches to reduce the risk of injury.
    • Don’t start with your driver: Begin with short clubs (wedges or short irons) and half-swings to loosen up your muscles.
    • Focus on Contact: For beginners, making clean contact is more important than distance.
    • Aim at Targets: Don’t just hit “into the blue.” Pick specific targets on the range to improve your accuracy and simulate real-course scenarios.
    • Trackman games: use the nearest the pin games to dial in your shot distances.
    • How many balls should I hit? Coaches generally recommend 60 balls for a productive practice session. Hitting too many too quickly can lead to fatigue and poor technique.
  • How much does it cost?
    • For non-members the costs are as follows:
    • Small bucket (approx. 30 balls): £4.00
    • Medium bucket (approx. 60 balls): £7.00
    • Large bucket (approx. 90 balls): £10.00
    • Extra large bucket (approx. 120 balls): £12.00
